Our group of couples booked 5 rooms for 5 nights for a special occasion using Marriott points. Overall, this is an excellent Marriott property that checks all of the boxes especially if you have reward status (we really appreciated the breakfast and snacks at the concierge lounge).
Shout out to the EXTRAORDINARY Treyana at the front desk and hardworking Katrina and Gina at the concierge desk for excellent service. A++++. And I cannot forget the wonderfully kind Vanessa in housekeeping/lost and found who went above and behind to save the day. These employees gave 100% in everything they did and it was so appreciated.
One suggestion would be to increase staff at the front desk and have separate phone operators other than front desk personnel. There was almost always a line of people waiting, plus a string of telephone calls on hold. I received inexcusably horrible service from J•••••. His frustrating, no-can-do attitude was at least partially a result of being short staffed. I'm not excusing his rudeness by any means and it certainly left a bad taste, but maybe it wouldn't have happened if he had more back up and wasn't quite so pressed. Or, maybe it would have happened exactly the same way; I really don't know for sure. But, either way, bumping up staff numbers during peak times would certainly be appreciated by guests.More
