Top notch customer service here with real attention to detail. A warm welcome, chocolates in the room, a goodbye gift. It’s the little things that make you like a place.
The bed was comfy though and the room was small but cozy. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were all great.

Visited for a 1 night stay for our honeymoon.

Perfect from start to finish - from the friendly check-in (and room upgrade, which was great!) to check out.

The room itself was spacious with nice river views - we enjoyed a relaxed bottle of champagne on the balcony and enjoyed the Napa Wine train occasionally trundling past across the river.

All the staff we encountered were very friendly and willing to help, from the reception to the porter, they all were great.

We wish we'd been able to stay for longer but we sadly had to continue with our journey.

Definitely worth considering if you are staying in Napa - especially if you can get a balcony and river view.

Good Morning! Thank you for your lovely review and kind words. It sounds like you experienced exactly what we hoped for with the design of our balcony rooms - a relaxing afternoon with a bottle of wine, overlooking the river.

We hope to have you with us again!

Kind Regards,

We attended an event that was held at the Napa River Inn and chose to stay there overnight because of the long drive. What a stroke of luck, because not only was the event nicely done, but then our stay at the Napa River Inn doubled the pleasure of our trip. It's a beautifully maintained quaint hotel. The staff we dealt with were top-notch professionals, very polite and helpful, can't say enough about them! Instead of the courtesy breakfast rolls & coffee in the morning, we opted for the "credit coupon" to use at Sweetie Pies Bakery (right next door!) and can't rave enough about them AND the mixed berry pie we purchased to take home-- way too tempting to not try. In short, everything was fabulous!

Good Morning Michelle!

We are glad you two enjoyed the event on the Plaza Patio the other day! The pleasure of your company was all ours!

You most certainly don't have to wait for another event to come visit us again either! Hopefully we will see you both soon.

Cheers!

It didn’t start well, nor did it continue well. When asking the staff about wine tastings in the area they had to consult three different people only to find out nobody was really knowledgeable. “You might try this or that”. To add insult to injury on a Friday evening, this hotel with a supposed wine reception in the evening in the middle of July in the height of tourist season didn’t have one. They couldn’t exactly explain why, and then proceeded to ask if I wanted a “splash“ of wine. A Chardonnay or Merlot. With no explanation. So if you’re expecting a Napa Valley wine reception, which is typical with an expensive hotel such as this, don’t bother. It’s a cross between a Motel 6 and a best Western, but better located in downtown Napa. The staff were friendly. But not knowledgeable. “Here, if you want breakfast there’s a form you can fill out and put on the door”. Please check a pastry and cup of coffee. Hmmm... that’s the breakfast included at $400+ a night? I checked in at 9 AM, knowing that the room wouldn’t be ready. And that was fine, they stored my luggage. This is what I expected. However, they promised to call when my room was ready. I arrived back at the hotel at almost 4 PM nearly 7 hours later. The room was ready, with my luggage in it, but nobody had attempted to call me. I had been waiting for hours. The room, even though executive king room in the “newer” area of the hotel, was subpar. At 400+ dollars a night, this is definitely not worth it. If you’re looking for a luxury wine country experience, you would be better off with a host of other hotels. This is definitely not that. Average at best. I feel as if I wasted nearly $400. I have no idea what the amenities were, nor did the staff.

Good Afternoon,

First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for the lack of service we clearly provided for you during your most recent stay. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any more information regarding your experience to improve our service. The Napa Valley is a beautifully charming place as well at the Historic Napa Mill being a charming location to stay while exploring wine country; we take it to heart when we fall short of creating a memorable experience for our guests.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and to identify the areas of improvement we need to focus on. It has our immediate attention.

Kind Regards,

We were pleasantly surprised by this gem of a hotel. Phenomenal customer service was provided by everyone on staff. They even welcomed our pet R8der and truly treated him like a VIP (check out the photo!). Complimentary breakfast baked goodies are delivered to your door from the neighbor Sweetie Pies. This property is very well maintained and managed - it's listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and features beautifully appointed period specific decor. It's beautiful! Our room was so comfortable. We'll definitely stay here again, but next time in a room with a balcony.
