There were empty tables but we waited 15 minutes to be seated. Servers needed to be prompted to supply additional utensils, menu and take orders. We waited 40 minutes for our food only to find out the server brought food to his friends who sign in two guests behind us and seated later than us. Hot pots were served without the fire follow up. We had to ask them to light it and remind them for the vermicelli and rice side orders. The quality of the ingredients is not like it used to be. The Angus beef was full of fat and the pot is predominately filled with cabbage stems, three pieces tofu and four fish cakes. Uniboil opened a few years ago. This used to be our favorite place for hot pot with our teenage children. Not sure if they expanded too quickly or changed ownership. We won't be coming back anytime soon. If you are in the mood for quality authentic individual hot pot in Monterey Park, I highly recommend Boiling Point, Cocary, all within 5 minutes radius or Tokyo Shab Shab 1 min. further down on Atlantic Blvd.
