Geoffrey's was the perfect oasis on a hot, traffic infested, and crowded day in L.A. We arrived way too early for our lunch reservation, because we weren't sure about traffic delays, but it allowed us to take advantage of the beach access provided by Geoffrey's while we waited for our table. We also had time to enjoy a cool, refreshing drink at the bar. We were in no hurry, and we were enjoying the view and the setting.
When we were seated, we had a wonderful view and it was accompanied by excellent food. Every Geoffrey employee we encountered was friendly and eager to serve. I look forward to returning someday.

Food was average, I was told the crab cakes were amazing but I wasn't blown away. Views were stunning but not worth it for the over priced food. Also a nightmare to get a cab out of there if you haven't driven. We were waiting around over an hour and the wifi was horrendous so impossible to get an uber

An impromptu decision saw myself and a friend end up here for dinner on a Saturday night after failing to get a reservation at the ever popular Nobu.
Wow! We arrived early hoping for a drink at the bar but instead we were shown straight to our table on the terrace overlooking the fabulous views of the Pacific Ocean.
Our waiter was funny and polite and couldnt do enough to help. The drinks were served quickly and then we were given time to take in the views and the menu. Geoffrey's attracts an eclectic crowd from couples, friends and families.
We ordered the tuna tartare (melt in the mouth!) and jumbo prawns starters and the seafood paella and scallops for mains. The scallops were huge and perfectly cooked as was all of the seafood. The risotto accompanying the scallops was incredibly rich and we couldnt finish it.
We couldnt manage dessert but continued to enjoy our drinks until we were ready to leave. Despite the restaurant being busy and our table being in a prime spot we were never rushed. In total (including tip) we paid $260 so its not cheap but it was definitely worth it.
Special shout out to the lovely valet who helped us get a taxi at the end of the night.

This restaurant in on the beach at a slight height which gives an amazing view of the sea from the restaurant. The food is amazing and the staff friendly. Not to be missed if you are in Malibu.

Dinner for my sons birthday. Shared mussels and octopus appetizer, all excellent. I had Chilean sea bass entree which was really good and my son really enjoyed his filet mignon. Good wine list with decent (by Malibu standards) selection and prices. Only negative was that our waiter (Jason?) was clueless. Didn't pay attention, was slow generally and, drum roll, clearly thought he was the bees knees. News flash-he isn't. All that said, a great experience.
