Inventive, healthy and flavorful cuisine. Looks like another greedy Malibu landlord squashed the business.

Will miss their Eggplant Napoleon, mushroom polenta.

Really great view of the ocean. Fairly small simple place. Service was tremendous very attentive. Had eggs Benedict which was good. But this place specializes in homemade juice. Had the blood orange ice tea and loved it

This place is a hidden gem, tucked away in a group of stores located on Pacific Coast Highway across the street from the water with a lovely unobstructed view of the ocean. It's known for creative, healthy organic food and it lives up to that reputation. There were so many interesting healthy options I had trouble picking something. However, this is not just a place for vegetarians, vegans or health nuts. My other half is a meat & potatoes kinda guy - and he loved it, too. Food was excellent & ambiance was delightful (white table cloths, nice wine list, etc.) Parking is a bit dicey - not a lot of it in the lot in front of the place - but we got lucky and found a spot. Would definitely go back again - in fact, I wish I lived closer. I'd become a regular.

Definitely one of the better options in mid-Malibu, with several health-conscious menu options, Great for lunch and brunch.

It's clear from the moment you enter the naturally lit, cute restaurant that each detail has been considered: ambiance, cleanliness, simple/pleasing esthetics, passionate, caring staff.
Where the Plate shines: the food/menu. Excellent pairings of organic, clean (Paleo clean), LOVINGLY prepared foods. The intention and love is so clear in the taste and presentations. YUM.
I'm a low-no sugar gluten free girl: lots of choices at Plate that don't feel like a compromise, unlike many places I travel/eat.
We stayed at The M Motel (um...excellent location to the beach/smack in the middle of Malibu, not great sleep/cleanliness/beds, best feature: allowed us walking distance to dinner and breakfast at Plate).
Server George, from Argentina, the chef/food: memorable. Breakfast was even better than dinner: fresh juice with excellent table presentation, acai bowls, oven made granola, GF breads. 10% off if staying at the M Motel.
Would definitely recommend, and return!
