Not sure why our tour organiser booked us into the J J Grand Hotel; The exterior and the lobby are impressive for a budget hotel, it is however predominantly Korean.
The staff have little English, we were given a map of the area in Korean.
The 2nd floor restaurant is totally Korean and there are no Western choices, I couldn’t even get a cup of English tea in the Coffee bar, ‘ only Korean tea and coffee’ I was told.
The rooms whilst large need updating, there does appear to have been some renovation work in the corridors. The hotel does however have a lift, the rooms do not have safes.
Los Angeles is huge and a large area to cover, I am unable to walk large distances, we therefore took advantage of the hotel limo to travel to the beginning of our days sightseeing. A little more expensive than a taxi but a nice ride. We did have an issue when the receptionist refused to book it for us.
This hotel could have so much to offer if it only realised that not all of its guests are Korean.More
