Stayed again in January 2012. Bought advance pay rooms online. So convenient next to Beverly Center, walking to 3rd Avenue,The Grove and just short taxi trips or a walk to all the best restaraunts In LA i.e Nobu,StK,Mozza etc.
The service at the hotel is outstanding, clean spacious rooms, beautiful bathroom products towels and bathroom. The pillows duvets and beds are the best in the world..so comfortable!!
Breakfast at Simons in the hotel is delicious in a lovely courtyard and they have a great gym and pool. Although we took cabs the hotel is close to public transport.
Highly recommended!

Stayed in January February 2012"This hotel is situated across from the Beverly Centre which is a shopping centre. Bloomingdales Macey, and other named shops. The hotel is nice friendly staff. The restaraunt serve a beautiful dinner. You can then sit in there courtyard for after drinks very pleasant. Stayed 2 nights on arrival to LA then returned here for last night to catch our flight home. Returned to airport by taxi for $45.00 USD The hotel helped with arranging car hire delivered to the hotel and return to the hotel. Would definately recommend this hotel. A bus stop is a cross the road so you can catch it do a on off for site seeing and runs every 15 minutes.

This is my first time writing a review on any website but felt the need to write one for this hotel. The hotel room was clean but extremely tiny! I had read other people's reviews and this seem to be a common complaint but I didn't realize just how tiny the rooms are. There is no coffee maker in the room. If you want a cup of coffee, they will charge you. We wanted to iron our clothes but couldn't find an outlet except for the one in the bathroom. Since the room is extremely small, the tv is pushed off to the side. I booked this hotel from Hotwire and paid $200 per night. Totally not worth it. I have stayed in a lot of hotels since my husband and I love to travel. This one is not worth the price. Even a two star hotel offers more than this hotel. Forgot to mention you have to pay $33 per day for the parking. Having Breakfast in their restaurant that consisted of an omelet and waffles and a cup of coffee costed $50. I don't mind spending the money if you are getting what you paid for but not the case in this hotel. Hope this helps!

We recently stayed for the first time at the Hotel Sofitel in Beverly Hills for 26 nights due to my surgery at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, which is nearby. I have read a lot of the reviews here and wanted to share our thoughts on Sofitel from January & February, 2012. First, the hotel is also a first, as in first class and we were very satisfied with the two rooms that we were in. Clean, comfortable, very quite and nice. We stayed on the 7th floor and then moved to a handicap room on the 4th. The complete staff from the valet, doorman, bellman, front desk, restaurant, security, etc can only be described as the very best that we have had the pleasure to experience in many hotel stays from Paris to West Virginia's Greenbriar. We ate many meals in the hotel and they have excellent values be it at breakfast or at dinner. They also have a free coffee bar that is opened very early in the morning, which was very helpful, due to our being from the east coast. This was our first stay at the Sofitel and we choose it solely based on being the closest hotel to the hospital, so to have such great experience was such an added plus and I hope that this recent review helps you in choosing the Sofitel for your next visit to Beverly Hills and an added plus, is a great shopping mall directly across the street.

Room Tip: Both of our rooms faced the hills and were very quite. Each room does have a new double glass over...

My husband and I stayed at the Sofitel twice during our trip to the states in Jan/ Feb 2012. We could not fault anything!! All the staff couldn’t do enough to help, the room was clean, funky and had everything we needed (including a great view of the Hollywood sign ( even if it was in the distance). We had the best nights sleep while at the hotel as the bed was soo comfy!! We thought the location was fantastic as everything we wanted was only a short cab ride away. We would stay her again.
