Langers has been selling pastrami here forever and time has not been kind to the area, but you must ignore that, and you will forget as soon as you walk through the door. Actually the same applies to other pastrami icons around the world. Katz of NY is also in an old part of town while Carnegie in NY and Blooms in London have both gone. It is a complex and skilled process to make pastrami properly, and needs the proper caraway seed rye bread with dill flavoured pickles. I can only offer pictures of sandwiches which do not do the food justice, but that was my choice. They actually have a massive menu of traditional Jewish food. If your schedule in LA allows you to come out here then Langers should be a must do. Cannot recommend highly enough, and I have tried most of them around the world.
