The food here is always good and the service is always on point. This place has been here for a long time and the owner had always kept it at the highest standards. A family can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner here and get great food without breaking the bank.

Since last in LA four years ago, I had looked forward to one day returning to town and once again having breakfast at Pann's. Happily, this happened a few weeks ago, and I was very pleased to find that breakfast there was as good as I remembered it. The Belgian waffles are still perfect, the decor still late-1950s (the back of menu says it was built in 1958), and the service as good as ever. Though it required a cab ride to get there from the hotel, our party quickly decided we much preferred breaking our fast each day at Pann's, rather than at our hotel's own (overpriced) breakfast buffet. On another day, as I suspect many people do, we came by later around noontime to try their lunch, before heading to LAX to catch a flight out. The burgers were classic and good; though, sadly, we didn't have the time to try their dessert milkshakes. Maybe next time. . . Overall, our multiple visits validated my consideration of Pann's as my go-to place for starting the day when in the LAX area. And they still offer logo'ed coffee mugs for sale!
One big change since last time: the resaturant now serves only breakfast and lunch, having stopped doing dinner a couple of years ago.

This classic coffee shop and diner celebrates its 60th year in business in 2018, and over the decades, it's earned its place among LA's great breakfast spots. Owned by the Panagopoulos family since the beginning, Pann's is in many ways quintessential of the American experience. Founders George and Reno were California immigrants; George came from Greece and served in the US Army as a cook before settling down and starting his own place; Rena waited tables and became a fixture for decades before passing on in 2017 at the age of 100. It's that kind of legacy you experience when you come into this place. It's the kind of community-focused restaurant that is all-too-rare these days, but all the more valuable to keep around and enjoy.

Pann's serves tasty breakfast and lunch standards; the restaurant lives up to its moniker of "just wonderful food", with the waffles and omelets particularly noteworthy. But just as appealing as the meal itself is its classic style. The Googie architecture and charming interior are a real draw, and make the experience of a meal here not just a trip back in time, but to an aesthetic that never goes out of date. Designed by influential local architects Eldon Davis and Helen Liu Fong, the Pann's building is just as stylish and fun now as it was 60 years ago.

Whether you come here to relive the past or just enjoy a good meal in classic surroundings, Pann's is well worth a visit.

So I read some good reviews about this restaurant and it was like 10 minutes away from where I was staying so seemed very convenient. The place is very vintage, the staff were so friendly and the food was good. I had eggs and hash browns and they were good but very average. The waffle was a little above average.
