We are staying at UCLA Guest House for a few nights while we are helping our daughter move into her graduate school apartment. We selected it because it is on the UCLA campus and because of the good TA reviews.
Rooms are very comfortable, service is good. The vaunted continental breakfast is quite good but not amazing. We were given a room on the 2nd floor with a bright light directly outside of our window, so it seemed to be daylight all night, a bit disconcerting, solved this by keeping the curtains closed. Room also backs on to Hilgard Avenue, so we heard cars and trucks passing all night, again, not terrible but definitely a factor. Air conditioning worked fine, a bit noisy but not terrible, and bathroom is clean and everything worked fine.
Parking is done well, with both a small outdoor lot and and plentiful parking spaces in an underground garage with elevator straight up to the room floors.
Lobby and hallway areas are charming, Old California/Spanish style, with cool photos of UCLA and Westwood from the 1920s and 1930s.
I would definitely stay here again.More
