We checked in this past friday at 8:30pm only to find out that our room was not ready. After waiting almost two hours we finally got a room around 10pm. Everything else was ok restaurant food was great and the staff were friendly.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent experience at our hotel.

I appreciate your comments and was gratified to read that you found our staff to be friendly and your restaurant experience to be positive.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience you experienced as a result of our not having a room available for you when you arrived so late in the evening. I assure you this is not the norm.

I do hope that should your travels bring you back to Los Angeles, you will allow us another opportunity to be of service to you.

Warm Regards,

Regina M. Stryker-Guthrie | General Manager

The staff here were horrendous. They were judgemental and rude and COMPLETELY unhelpful.
I paid A LOT of money to stay in my room and was treated with contempt the entire time I was there.

One of these valets stole an iPod out of my car and I was told that I would be contacted by their legal team to follow it up, and never was.

So dissappointing. Would not recommend staying. They are theives and bad people.

We (myself, my partner and friend) stayed here for a couple of nights in June 2012. The rooms were clean, comfortable and beyond invitng after spending 6 hours on a bus! The transport service out the front were very helpful, took us to the Hollywood strip for a fair charge and then picked us up again, all in all amazing service there! Staff at check in counter on the other hand were quite rude. We are quite a young group and felt that we were judged, watched, and not treated as a normal guest.
Breakfast was superb!! (hightlight of the stay for sure)!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your June of 2012 stay.

I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay overall but I am terribly sorry that we did not have an opportunity to address your experience with the Front Desk during your visit.

The hotel has undergone many changes in the past nine months.
Our renovation is nearing completion and soon we will be an official member of the Hyatt Regency family.

I do hope that should your travels bring you back to downtown Los Angeles, you will allow us another opportunity to serve you and demonstrate the level of service I know we are capable of providing.

Warm Regards,

This is my second stay at this hotel. It was part of the Sheraton chain the first time I stayed and now it is slated to be part of the Hyatt chain. They are renovating the hotel rooms and we were given one of those rooms. It was a beautiful room with a great view (10th floor) of the east part of downtown. The room had a small refrigerator which was a nice touch. The king bed was comfortable and the tv was large. I suggest if you are a AAA member get the AAA discount that includes breakfast. While the breakfast choices are somewhat limited you can order the omelet of your choice and the orange juice is fresh and they keep it flowing. The pool looked nice but I did not see a spa. The only have valet parking which is expensive-$35 a day. It was $25 the first time. But you do have in and out privileges. The hotel is on the east end of downtown and you will need to walk a few blocks to reach most of downtown. But the underground rail runs in every direction and I suggest that you take it instead of a cab. It is much cheaper and the nearest stop is not that far from the hotel. The hotel is inexpensive not cheap for downtown Los Angeles but I fear once the renovations are complete, they will jack up the prices. But since the hotel was not even close to being full on a weekend, the prices may stay reasonable. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you are visiting downtown Los Angeles.

Too far from staples walked took over 15 minutes. Short cab ride though under $10. All room service and bar closes at 11pm... Too early!!! $35 to park. Clean room hopefully will be better when remodel is complete!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your recent stay.

Many of our guests prefer our location in downtown as we are close to all the action at Staples Center and L.A. Live yet far enough away to avoid the traffic and crowds that can make getting to and from the hotel challenging.

I appreciate the feedback regarding the hours of operation for both the bar and Room Service.
Your comments are very valuable as they help us make the right decisions to service our clients.

Again - thank you for the review and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
