I recently stayed at this property to participate in trade show at the convention center next door.
The location is excellent, two minutes walk to the marina and harbor where you can see the Queen Mary docked out in the distance, visit shops, eat at a myriad of restaurants and catch a harbor tour or trip to Catalina Island. Also the Long Beach Gran Prix happens all around the hotel. Great walking along the waterfront in both directions. Aquarium and arena close by. So right in the thick of things. Front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, bell staff ditto. Room above average in quality. Nice outdoor pool. They have a take out food place in the lobby serving coffee, espresso, breakfast items and sandwiches etc throughout the day, the small bar is at the back of this. Things looked good but pricey since they have a captive audience. Ditto the restaurant down stairs which had a full buffet breakfast daily but $20 per person. If this is too rich for you also, plenty of alternatives within easy walking distance. If you are a Starbucks fan one is about 6 blocks up the street. While this hotel is not inexpensive if you want to be in the heart of the Long Beach action this is the place. I would definitely stay here again.More
