This is the most amazing place! Every detail is exquisite - from the breathtaking views from every window (California beaches are all public, but this resort is situated so that the beach feels completely private and just for you!), to the elegant and sumptuous rooms - all of them! all rooms have a balcony/patio with spectacular views, luxurious bath suite complete with an incredible tub (deep and with a shower wand), huge comfortable beds (one of the best night’s sleep of my life), delicious 5-star restaurants - everything is elegant, radiant, and outstanding! But the BEST part is the incredible staff!! Truly, every Montage team member we met was warm and gracious, and honestly went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued…and not just with words; they followed up and went above and beyond. I had brought my husband (recovering from ankle surgery- 3 times same ankle!) for a much needed retreat, and the Montage Laguna Beach was the perfect place! Our dream weekend started at the front desk with the incomparable TYRON PAGE, who remembered me from a previous visit and made sure that everything was completely perfect for our stay - the most comfortable room with luxurious privacy and easy access for my husband’s limited mobility. He even checked on us during his off hours, making arrangements for us to use one of the resort wheelchairs to stroll the immaculate gardens and paved walking...This is the most amazing place! Tyron had his staff provide us with additional assistance and very sweet touches…our room service was exceptional (24 hour a day room service - so rare in this age of Covid) and I’m sure it was not just for us; every guest is treated like royalty.

We dined twice at the spectacular Loft restaurant, and when I mentioned to our server, Jamie, how much I love the bamboo drinking straws (I kept my straw each time she brought me another Diet Coke ), she presented me, at the end of our meal, with a lovely bundle of bamboo straws wrapped in delicate tissue paper and tied with an elegant Montage ribbon. Wow! Just a small example of the many personal and perfect touches that every Montage host provided, showing us that they had listened, and that they cared.

At a time when many resorts (including those with historically highest ratings) have had to cut back on amenities and services, it is impressive to see the dedication to quality and service we experienced at the Montage Laguna Beach. Thanks to the exceptional staff and impeccably beautiful property, our weekend truly was unforgettable, and worth every penny!More
