This restaurant burned down about a week ago. Will be a while before it reopens. Really too bad. Not much more to say st this time.

Great food, fantastic service and cozy environment. Many times there is live Piano when I have been here.
La Finestra is small and tucked away and has been providing excellent meals for locals for years. It has withstood the test of time. It's a diamond in the rough and not easy to find. Thanks to GPS you'll have no problem. It's a fine dining restaurant with special specials and of course an excellent wine list. While small the tables are positioned far enough away that you will have enough privacy. They are also close enough that you could engage in conversation with your neighbors. It's not a restaurant I visit frequently and thus can't make a specific recommendation of what to order. Everytime I have gone, however, I've been very pleased with everything. It's also one of those restaurants that if something isn't right, they'll fix it and right away.
This was my first visit and unfortunately there was only one waiter for the entire lunch hour so needless to say, there was a lot of waiting. I had the porcini brodo soup which I thought was a broth, but it was a rich cream soup. Good, but a bit rich. I also had the linguini and meatballs. Lots of meatballs but the sauce was pretty basic and tomatoey. The hot focaccia and dip were nice. I will definitely go back as I think it was just an off day.
Lunch or dinner, this is a nice restaurant to share with family, friends and business colleagues. Long-time staff are friendly and efficient! Have not been disappointed with any meal choice.
