The room was spacious and very clean, the casino was a fun opportunity, and we ate in the casino restaurant. The food was good, large portions and reasonably priced. I was underwhelmed by the salad bar.

The hotel is in a great location if you want to see the redwoods. We actually got to see a herd of Elk very close to us walking across the field near the visitors center. There is not much of anything else around. It is right off of route 101.

This facility seems like the only regular motel along H101 in the area, without traveling to Crescent City in the north, or larger places to the south. It is attached to a small slot-machine-only casino, bar and restaurant. It is a very busy place, not surprisingly. We had a nice room. Our neighbor kept their TV on forever during the first night (and we were still on east-coast time), but our room was quiet for the remaining three nights. Staff were young and very friendly. There were some issues during 2 of the 4 breakfast, but we tried to help the situation. I would stay here again. Note: although this facility is "on" H101, the entrance is not on H101, you enter off of an internal road. The restaurant didn't have many choices, but their BBQ chicken dinner was eatable.

Room Tip: choose the second or third floor

We stayed here for two nights while visiting the Redwoods. It was very clean and the room was nice. There is a casino right next to the hotel but we didn't go in there. Just a very convenient place for a Redwoods visit.

Typical holiday inn express - on the plus side good value, clean spacious rooms and well located for the area and for seeing the redwoods. On the minus side, it’s right by the 101 so a fair amount of traffic noise and it’s soulless with a rubbish sad looking breakfast selection. It’s cheap though.

On the other hand, I am sorry for the noise challenges and the breakfast selection that did not meet your expectations. Nice clean, good size rooms in Klamath, California in Redwood State and National Park area. The pool was enjoyed by the family. Few restaurants in the area open in the evening so plan ahead for food. Breakfast was great. Hotel employees worked hard to keep the breakfast food stocked as the breakfast area was busy.

If in the area I would stay at this hotel again

Room Tip: Your choice between rooms include over the parking lot or view the freeway.
