This place had the advantage of being one of the few places to eat in the area north of (some) of the redwood forest. We really liked they had different choices for bread and would make your sandwich to order. They also offered beer batter fish and chips. One of the family was afraid the fish would taste slightly of beer, but it did not. The fries were very good; they offered sweet potato fries which were really good. The lettuce was hand cut and very fresh. The tartar sauce was hand made. If you got your soda from the fountain in a cup made of glass, there were free refills. The only downer was that they had no tea except bottled in the store part. This was obviously a place where the legend of Big Foot or Sasquatch is very much in play. I think kids would enjoy some of the pictures and drawings on the walls.

Not many options for a hungry family in this neck of the woods. Stayed at the Motel Trees just down the road, and the restaurant there was horrible. The food is much better here, even though this place is part gas station, part convenience store, part gift shop, it is also a decent restaurant. The lady running the place is pleasant and the food was quick and good. Easy to miss this place, so keep your eyes peeled! Who knows, maybe you'll spot Bigfoot too!

We didn't think we could eat it all, but my husband and I and our 11 year old polished the 16 in pie off. So good!

My wife and I stopped at the A Good Place to Eat restaurant earlier today after a day of hiking among the redwoods. We were initially dubious when we pulled up as it appears to be a fairly run down convenience store but something about the place suggested that it may be more than the visuals were leading us to believe. Although the menu has a fair number of offerings we stuck with a pizza with multiple toppings and honestly we were not disappointed. It was a freshly made pie that was simple and good...perfect for two starving hikers who also happen to be snobbish pizza lovers from Brooklyn. They also have solid selection of local beers. It is definitely worth stopping here if you find yourself in Klamath.

Good food from the homemade sandwiches to the pizza! Everything we had had here was delicious. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The Pizza is outstanding! Best place to have a good pizza, and they cook it in a pizza oven which makes it perfect. Love to have a meal here anytime.
