Empty at 6pm on a Wednesday.
Spotlessly clean. Really nice staff. Reasonably priced.
Pork dumplings: too perfectly formed to be handmade, but okay
Scallion pancakes:okay

It’s all just okay.

The dining room is beautiful with paintings and ceramic vases adorning the walls with elegant tables, chairs and tableware.
Sherry is the owner and takes great pride that the dishes are authentic and from her province in China.
This was our first visit and the menu is vast so Sherry advised us on what to have for lunch. They have lunch specials for $8.50, which includes spring roll and delicious soup.
We ordered stir fried garlic with pork and stir fried lamb. We also had a scallion pancake.
God, it was good. Better than good. Wonderful.
My dish was very spicy and had many sliced fresh chiles. Perfection if you like heat.
So this is now our favorite recipe in the valley. Very special.

We’ve been looking for a great Chinese restaurant in the Valley for years now. Today, we found one that checks all the boxes! Immaculately clean, welcoming, atmosphere. Warm, friendly staff. Incredible diverse menu with Sichuan influence and a full selection of Dim Sum, our only challenge was what to order. So we let our brilliant server Laura along with one of the owners help us with our choices. This visit, we enjoyed the scallion pancake, pork dumplings, garlic eggplant, sweet potato greens, and stir fried lamb. Each dish was clearly home made with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. Nothing was oily or fatty, and you could taste the passion in each course. Service and cuisine exceeded expectations. Great value too! We can’t wait to come back.

Ones first impression as you enter the restaurant is the incredible cleanliness. Unbelievably sterile in appearance. Location on a side street 1/2 block from another Chinese restaurant that serves Cantonese food. Very nice artifacts decorate the walls and the dining tables and chairs are Asian themed.

We were cordially greeted by Brett who owns the restaurant along with his wife who does the cooking. Menu is extensive but for those unfamiliar with some Chinese dishes there are color photos depicting a set of choices along with a brief description. We had Kung Pao Chicken which was very good. I only wish the peppers were left whole in this dish as opposed to being chopped in smaller pieces. Easier for me to locate them and put them to the side rather then feel like a bomb exploded in my stomach. Yes, I know Szechuan is spicy but I try to control the amount of heat from the peppers that I ingest. Walnut shrimp was tasty as well as the pork with bean curd. The waitress was very attentive. No room for desert. I will be back to try some of the fish dishes.

This was our first visit and we were more than pleasantly surprised. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and the menu is very extensive. The only thing I would suggest would be to add an off-dry wine choice. We shared the cucumber and garlic salad, sweet and sour ribs, duck tongue, and mixed hot pot, and all were terrific. The key word is authentic. It felt like we were dining in a Sichuan restaurant in San Francisco, not Indio. Flavors were clean and complex, ingredients were fresh and well thought out, and the level of spice (we ordered medium) was perfect. We like spicy food, and medium spicy was plenty spicy. This is definitely a place where you can take a bit of a food adventure and try a few things for the first time, which we did with the duck tongue, and it was very good. The service was attentive and the owners stopped by and were very friendly. Prices are reasonable, especially considering that the portions are on the large side. I thing this will become a go-to spot for us.
