What a major disappointment. From being told my niece couldn’t step foot on the property without securing her own room (she was going to visit us in our room) to the dirty rooms, this place was a huge disappointment. The front desk personnel were rude. The hallway leading to our room was dark, dank and had very dirty, stained carpet. The room itself...again, dark and had a musty smell. Our feet were black after walking on the floor. The bathroom was dated and there was what appeared to be mold on the ceiling. The sink and mirror were in the room, beside one of the beds. It appeared that someone attempted to update it but they really missed the mark. The beds were mediocre. The linens? Unacceptable. The blanket on each bed was the cheapest, thinnest material I’ve ever seen. One pillowcase had what appeared to be bloodstains. The air conditioning was loud. The security lock was actually broken in half. The balcony was furnished with one old, dirty white plastic chair. One. Upon check-in, we were informed that only 4 people were allowed in the room. And that there was to be “no partying”...the front desk clerk actually said no partying Besides the location, this place had one thing going for it...the rooftop. We wanted to watch the sunset our first night. Well, you have to go to the front desk to get a key. They policed how many people were allowed up there at one time. 8. 8 people at one time. We had that many in our group between the two rooms we had. We missed the sunset because the lady at the front desk had to give us a stern talking to about how there was not more than 8 people allowed on the roof at one time. When we walked through the lobby to go to the beach on several occasions, if the personnel *did* look up, they didn’t acknowledge us AT. ALL. I have never been in a hotel where the staff didn’t at least smile at you. The staff that we encountered acted as if they were doing us a favor by letting us stay there. Never again. For the rate we were charged ($200/per night and we were there 2 nights with 2 rooms), it would have been nice to have someone say hello. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
