We stayed in the cottage next to the main house and felt so at home! Traveling with our 17 year old son is great, but sometimes everyone craves a little privacy. To that end the cottage has a large bedroom upstairs that can accommodate 4 people and it has a private entrance! Son stayed there and loved it. Downstairs the bedroom, kitchen/dining/living space are comfortable and relaxing. We could have cooked in but chose to eat dinner out. The hosts have an extensive collections of dvds and videos and we enjoyed watching an old classic. I especially appreciated the quality linens and towels. The 3 dogs are charming. The solitude and quiet are amazing. Being away from the constant whir of traffic on highway 120 (the Yosemite corridor) this property offers true seclusion! Yet it's easy to get to town for meals or groceries. We'll be back for sure!

As many other guests we were wondering where we would end up driving down from Groveland on Ferretti road. But, .....all of a sudden, there it was. And what a surprise it was when we pulled up in front of the house!

The house is apparently built as a close replica based on a historic mansion in San Francisco and it oozes charm, authenticity and warmth. Not something one would expect in these surroundings as the hugh property (221 acres) is basically a ranch with lovely ranch dogs and cats. We were welcomed by Gary the host and chef of the B&B and his lovely daughter.

We stayed two nights and because we already visited Yosemite we chilled around the house which was very relaxing. We hiked up the mountain to the knoll where one can actually see Half Dome in the far distance. We felt we were the only people around.

The hosts are very welcoming and we felt like visiting friends, especially because we spend some time with the daughters in the yard cuddling 3 cute kitties they rescued.

Many said already what makes this house wonderful, the library, the Yamaha grand piano (a perfectly tuned top instrument) and pool room.

We stayed in the Eduardo room, which is located on the ground floor providing direct access to the porch and outdoors. This room is an en-suite with separate bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The room is comfortably furnished and the bed is queen sized and comfortable.

As others said, the breakfast is served at 8 AM and is absolutely awesome. Well balanced dishes served on linen covered tables in the porch.

For dinner we went to Groveland, which is small but provides some dinner choices. Groveland is about 15 minutes away. We went to the recommended Fork and Love restaurant and had dinner on the balcony. Dinner is good with some interesting choice (deer) but portions are, well, for one person. Be aware that the best restaurants in town are both closed on Monday!!! Our second evening we had the choice to go mexican or pizza.

All in all, we highly recommend staying at the Yosemite Rose. We are thinking to go back during fall or winter as they are open year round.

While I was not too impressed with the town of Groveland itself, I was very happy with my stay at the Yosemite Rose B&B. My Canadian cousin and I stayed 2 nights while exploring Yosemite.

The innkeepers and their staff were friendly and professional. Our room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was delicious. They had a limited variety of alcohol available each evening along with a small dessert.

If you are looking for a very nice place to eat dinner, check out the nearby country club. There food was excellent and our patio table was adjacent to the 10th hole on their golf course. We observed several deer enjoying the green while we ate.

Spent two nights at the Yosemite Rose while visiting Yosemite. Great location just about an hour outside of the valley. Also only a 10-15 minute drive to Groveland for dinner, music, etc. Definitely recommend staying in the Manor, which has several quaint little rooms and this way you are able to enjoy the amazing home-cooked breakfast in the morning. Brioche french toast was the best thing I've ever had! The entire family, from the kids to the cook, are so nice, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Dining room has drinks and treats at night. Wonderful billiards room and piano in the entry room. Rooms were well maintained and grounds were nice. Will definitely return on my next trip to Yosemite!

We had a wonderful stay at the Yosemite Rose B & B. We stayed in the Cottage which was great for our family of 5. We did not have breakfast included but we had a full kitchen so we were able to make breakfast and lunch to take with us for our visits to Yosemite. It is very peaceful here and restful after a day spent hiking in the Park. At check in we were given excellent advice on hiking trails in Yosemite. This was so helpful in planning our time.
