We stayed in Blossom House during January 2018, and rate our experience as extremely good. Before we booked, the owner, Takky, answered all our questions promptly, and she organised our being met at the house on arrival. The house is in a good position in the corner of a well-managed estate, and is shaded from the direct sun by trees, so is relatively cool, and has a comfortable home-from-home atmosphere. The three sit-out areas in different positions around the house mean that you can sit in the sun or the shade at any time of day. The kitchen was perfectly adequate for preparing breakfasts and lunches, and there are many restaurants serving different cuisines in the area, so dinner out was a good experience. The sitting room furniture was comfortable, and the super-kingsize bed in the master bedroom has a supportive mattress with foam topping, so over the period of a month our bad backs did not complain, something we have never experienced when self catering here at home. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms are excellent, as you can keep cool without having to run the comparatively noisy a/c. The house is on an estate, so you must expect estate noises like young children playing in the street (good to see that happening!), dogs barking on occasions, but we have rented houses around Chiang Mai over a decade, and this was one of the quietest - we slept as well here as we do at home. This house is the only one we’ve ever rented in Thailand that did not have house geckos (tik-tiks) inside, and where we didn’t have to store the honey jar in a saucer of water to stop the tiny what we call sugar ants swarming over it, so it is a very wholesome house! We recommend Blossom House very highly, we cherish our memories of breakfasts on the downstairs patio and drinks as the sun set on the upstairs balcony. We will certainly stay again on our next trip.
