“The lush green Golf Course looks beautiful but...”

Dublin Ranch Golf Course
Ranked #7 of 12 things to do in Dublin

I am a resident of this neighborhood now and the only think that could change about the Dublin Ranch Golf Course is the Club House itself. Whenever there are parties the place looks great but it has no vibe otherwise. They need to give contract to an elegant restaurant and bring life to the Club building.

The restaurant area has nice seating and a very romantic patio with view, but most of the time there are no patrons and it's closed.

Also, the facility could be rented out to the neighborhood community for parties/dinners, book clubs, and ethnic festivals instead of just for weddings.

Considering the diversity and the ability to spend in the immediate vicinity, a list of outside caterers who make quality ethnic food should be kept. This will help the club generate some $$$ and keep the facility looking more vibrant. It's well manicured outside but rather dead inside. Another suggestion would be expand it and ad a full health club with spa as there is no decent health club in this part of Dublin.

Nice course, not as easy as the card looks. Wind can be tough in the afternoons. The par 3's are challenging.

As soon as you look at the yardage, slope and par on this golf course you start to think "this might be too easy", well don't confuse this with your grandparents 'executive course'. This golf course is all you want from a golf outing. You get great service, great golf conditions, good views, quick play and value from your golf entertainment dollar. Do yourself a favor and don't play from the 'Blues' unless your single digit player. 4 of the 11 par 3's will play over 200yds and 3 of the par 4's you'll have to carry it over 220 to catch a fairway. The 2 par 5's are rated 1st and 4th hardest on golf scorecard. That's what slows play down on this course watching some bogie golfer (from Blue's) reaching only 4 or 5 holes in regulation. Play the course from the 'Whites' and you'll appreciate the (5) distinct hole locations on each green, Most of the greens are two-tiered so if you're on the wrong side you'll be looking at a 3-putt. Iron selection to hole location is extremely important. The greens are always in great shape even with the CA drought effecting so many local golf courses. Golf cart is included in your 'fee'. No range to speak of, just a net to loosen-up if needed. Nice chip n'putt area to work on your scoring before the round. One last thing to be aware of, you'll get plenty of wind in the afternoons if you come out to play at that time. Very playable in the winds as this is designed as 'links course' so you can get a favorable bounce if you play it correctly. In the mornings you can hit ball (on fly) into correct portion of green as they are very receptive to good shots. In closing; it's one of the best golf values in the East Bay. Shoot below your handicap (if you can) then challenge it from the back tees.

Great short course for practicing ones short game. Par 63, so there are some par 4’s and two par 5’s, with the majority of them being par 3’s. Just because the course is shorter than normal, there are still many challenging shots. The course is well maintained with nicely groomed fairways and greens faster than most municipals courses.
The course is built on a hill side and offers some great views of the Tri-Valley area. Sometimes the wind can pickup in the afternoon adding an additional challenge.
Look for internet deals before calling for a tee time. Golf carts are included in the price. One can enjoy a round of golf in less than three hours.

An immaculate, beautifully maintained short 18 hole course. Not easy, but always enjoyable. Look for discounts as Dublin Ranch is not cheap for a 3 hour round.
