We took the late morning cruise on a beautiful sunny day. The whale watching was fantastic as we saw several grey whales. The dolphin pod was huge - numbering well over 100. The kids especially enjoyed watching the dolphins frolic off the bow of the boat. Our midwestern grand daughter made a point of telling us that she was so glad that we brought her to see these animals.

A friend recommended we try Captain Dave's and we were not disappointed. They had a very knowledgeable, friendly staff. We saw a whole bunch of dolphins and sea lions and a beautiful sunset from the boat. unfortunately the whales were not cooperating, but the trip was well worth the price we paid and we would do it again!

Hi,

Thank you so much for your review, and for posting the lovely photos. I’m glad you enjoyed viewing the beautiful dolphins and basking sea lions, as well as a gorgeous sunset. I wish we could have shown you some whales though, as we are fortunate in Southern California to have year-round whales including Blue Whales, Gray Whales, Fin Whales, Humpback Whales, and more. Do you have any input on how we could improve and earn a 5-star review from you next time? Thanks again and I hope we’ll see you on another trip soon!

Our family has gone out with Captain Dave's for 15 years. It's the best place to spend any discretionary entertainment dollars. Their boats, staff and sincere concern for the ocean is awesome.

So fun and awesome. Captain Steve did a great job with knowledge and handling the boat. The Dolphins decided to vacation today so we saw grey whales early and saw a few dolphin then couldn't find the absent dolphin pod but never fear Captain Steve got us a humpback whale performing and breaching. Great job Captain Steve and Crew!

A nice morning out with Captain Quinn. Lots of sea life including seals, sea lions, sun fish and Dolphins. Was able to see a California grey whale towards the end. Chartered the Orca for a small outing of 5. Great customer focus, nice boat and a great family outing.

Hi,

Thank you so much for your review. I am glad you and your family enjoyed your recent dolphin and whale watching safari on board our 38-foot motor yacht ORCA. It’s wonderful that you were able to spend time with sea lions, dolphins, a Gray Whale, and even an ocean sun fish, or Mola Mola, which are the heaviest bony fish in the world. They can grow up to 14 feet across! Thanks again for joining us, and I hope you’ll visit again soon.
