My wife and I stayed at the "Del" a couple of times. What's not to love? The ambiance, food, location, and amenities were all suburb. There is so much to do on the grounds that you don't need to leave the resort. The restaurants, three in all, are all fabulous. In doors you have the 1500 Ocean Restaurant. Outdoors is the Sheerwater and the grand decor is the Crown Room. You have several bars as well like the B&S Bar, the Eno Wine Bar. The ice cream parlor is truly delicious. There are several shops and entertainment venues in several locations throughout the hotel. I would highly recommend this spot to stay in Coronado. It is a bit pricy but well worth it!
It's one of the largest and oldest resorts on the Pacific Coast. The Hotel del Coronado sits on 28 acres of oceanfront property at Coronado Beach. It is approximately 5 miles from downtown San Diego. The Victorian-era Hotel del Coronado offers pools, a spa/salon, fitness center, boat rentals, beach equipment and yoga classes, and children's programs. The guestrooms in the main original building have period decor, while the Ocean Tower rooms have balconies and are more modern in style and comfort.More
