Having been away from the country for several years, wherever Filipinos are they look around the neighborhood to find Filipino restaurants.
One of the biggest in this part of the country is Leelin Bakery and Cafe. It seemed that Sunday afternoons toward evening, Filipinos would flock to the place to enjoy delicious Filipino dishes.
Our group, being two families, wanted to have the specialties. We ordered several dishes including sinigang, dinuguan, longsilog, fried lumpia, kare-kare and lechon kawali among others.
The food was cooked as expected- the Filipino way. For me, the star dish of the evening was the lechong kawali (Deep Fried Pork) and Dinuguan.
The place is big enough to accommodate big groups as well as large families.
