We liked this nicely renovated, well-equipped, holiday-cottage. Most furniture is vintage style, yet in exceptionally good condition. The double bed is comfortable and huge. Other equipments, like the washing machine or dishwasher are modern, but small enough to fit into an existing gap. The house was very nicely decorated. The only thing we’ve helped ourselves, was to a better light above the dining table. The doorless upstairs bedroom of this former pilot house is only 1.8 meters high, probably to heat it easier during winter, though the 1.65-meter-high doorframe is a bit irksome for tall people.
The house is partly heated with underfloor heating and a heat pump (reverse cycle air conditioner), but during winter, the heating must be supported by fireplaces. Those fond of lighting chimney fires will be pleased to find three heat storing fireplaces in the inhouse and another woodstove in the generous sauna cottage. Unobstructive but friendly and very helpful hosts who make sure, there is always enough firewood.
