My local business contacts gave my Poo Dam as the place to visit. I would describe it as having your local Thai food and not necessarily the favourites that made Thai food famous like Pad Thai, Green and Red Curry. Yes they specialise in seafood with a selection of clams, mussels, horseshoe crabs and fish to be bbq on a charcoal bbq. Local Thai companies have their offsite dinners here.
There's not a lot of food for kids other than having non spicy selections so if your kids are into burgers, fish and chips, pizza or steaks then they will struggle here. I had to duck out and get a burger for one of the kids to eat from a cafe down the road.
We had glass noodle with prawn, crab coconut curry which was excellent, spicy Thai crispy chicken salad, bbq pork with lemon grass (too much fat left on pork) basil with squid, lemongrass shrimp soup Tom ka Gai. 4 drinks and 2 ice scream scoops here and that was 1,200 THB.
Come here and try local Krabi seafood.
It will cost you 400 THB by taxi from Ao Nang and 30 mins away. Also very close to the Big Crab landmark and the night market so excellent choice. If you don't like the menu then just try the two restaurants and cafe down the road.
