Been staying here every time I come to krabi, at least 3 times a year for the past three years. Let's be clear, this is not a five star hotel, and prices are not five star level. With that out of the way one should not expect a five star experience where the staff bend back wards to cater to ones every whims and fancies. But bend backwards they do. Staff speaks smattering of English but it suffices. Rooms are situated on two levels. Some newly renovated. Gone are the grotty showers. Floors are swept and mopped shiny every day. Hot water shower adequate but may not satisfy those that prefer scalding hot water. Beds are not too hard nor soft but may have been around for a while, but nothing back breaking. Breakfast satisfying. The dining hall is located at the front of the building and very airy. A nice place to kick back with a book after breakfast. The pool, out back is not for those who needs to put in laps but adequate for dipping and for the children to play in.
I stay here when I have time off and want to get away from it all. I've even stayed here with work in my satchel, working on the WiFi which has not yet let me down. Here I can finish that paper back that has been collecting dust because life is too hectic at home. It's two minutes walk from my favorite massage parlour and five from my favourite cafe. What's not to love. And the best thing is, it doesn't break the bank account.
Rationalise your expectations and you will find that this is a nice cosy place to be.
I see that there are other long term guests every time I stay at the loma so I am not alone in this assessment.
