A lovely hotel with the friendliest and most accommodating staff. But then all Bhutanese are friendly :-)

The rooms are very large with a good size sitting room. More like a suite than a standard size hotel room. The beds have mattress warmers which are perfect for the freezing cold nights.

Warm and cozy to bed.

After my Kichu Resorts, Wangdi experience I was looking forward to this place. But it doesn't really compare well. For one, the river is quiet, rocky and not really accessible meaning one can't sit by it like at Wangdi. My room had a defective room heater they were unable to fix or replace, so I didn't sleep well at all. The bathroom though clean, stank strongly of drains. The breakfast buffet had fruit that wasn't fresh. The dinner menu was uninteresting. Staff were always in a hurry and perfunctory since they had a lot of tourist guests to serve. I wouldn't go back there.

Room tip: Rooms closer to the dining areas are helpful if its rainy during your visit. otherwise, opt for riverside rooms.

Went for 3 nights . We were given room with 2 small single bed where we were unable to sleep properly . Breakfast was terrible and service was extremely slow. Flies were everywhere in dining room and we saw flies sitting over bread before it was being served , ended up having breakfast outside . Lawns are nice but no indoor activity or club for us to spend some nice time inside the resort. It's far from time so you always end up spending too much in taxi. Taxi people are rude and one came to our room with hotel staff , claiming that the tip was less .

Hotel Kichu is one of the best Hotels/Resort in Bhutan in terms of location, Ambience, natural environment, Amenities.
Staff behavior is very Polite, Always wear smile. Food was good. Best thing of Hotel is that It is located near river. Sound of river water is very mesmerizing.
