You will enjoy a drink and brief respite whilst stopping here. You can sip your tea staring up at Tiger’s Nest and meditate on how amazing the place truly is. Our guide had organised lunch for us on the way down. This was mostly vegetarian (buffet of course!!) and very nourishing, if catering to an odd mix of half western (ie no chilli cheese!) and half Bhutanese (red rice and also cheesy potatoes -non spicy though). A restaurant half way up a mountain only served by human porters and the occasional donkey is unlikely to have a 5* rating but the food here was good and very welcome.
