Description: Cantina cantina noun. /kanˈtiːnə/ def; a type of restaurant/bar popular in Italy, Mexico and Spain. Established in 2008, we are one of the original, funky and dynamic venues located on the famous Beaufort Street Strip in Mount Lawley, located next door to the iconic Astor Theatre. A local canteen at heart, we are all about fresh, local and seasonal produce. True to our name our food is influenced by Mediterranean cuisine with a modern Australian twist. A fully licensed venue, our extensive wine list features a range of exciting domestic and international drops, as well as lots of cocktails of course! So come on down, bring your friends and family, and enjoy yourself in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where the staff are always ready to greet you with a smile.

We came here with a large group before a show at the Astor. Great service, reasonable prices. Loved the black ink crispy squid. We shared a few different dishes, meatballs ok not what I expected. Chorizo and duck parfait not bad. Would come again if in the area.

Amazing good food which totally makes up for waiting so long for our cocktails.
An abundance of waitresses serving and making the night very enjoyable.
We needed the music turned down but we were seated under the speaker.
Definately go back!
There were families and couples dining. Catered for all.

After trying to book in a last minute Friday night dinner, I was only able to secure a table here. Having never been here, we were all pleasantly surprised. It's a fairly casual sort of vibe, but comfortable with booth style seating as well. For entree we shared the duck liver parfait, charred zuchinni salad and croquettes. All of which tasted fresh and flavoursome. Our only query here was that we were told the croquettes came in batches of three only, so we would have to order a double serve. We agreed to this, but then only received exactly four which was strange. The mains were also great, two of us had spatchcock and the other two the gnocchi; however the former was the highlight for the table. Wine choices are fair. The cost against volume of food is average, so consider this if choosing to book here. The experience overall, was pleasant.

Stopped by for the first time today, escaping from the 40 degree heat. Had a delicious iced chocolate and an amazing iced tea. Best iced tea my Mum had ever had apparently. Exceptional customer service. We will be back.

Four of us had an outstanding meal. Shared the entrees or starters and the mains. Great flavours and great Service. Wines to match a Mediterranean style food.
