Description: Panini Café was founded over 20 years ago and now, we are pleased to announce that we will be changing our name to Panini Kabob Grill. Why the change? It’s because over the course of the past two decades, we’ve evolved from being known for just our tasty Paninis to now attracting customers from all over the world with our popular, healthy and delicious Mediterranean Kabobs. We are more than just a Café. We’re a family dining experience, whether you decide to come in for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The Mediterranean diet that we model our menu after is welcomed by many as a healthy way of life. It includes a lot of vegetables, fruits, lentils, grains (we have wheat Bulgur and gluten-free Brown & Basmati Rice), moderate amounts of fish, proteins, and some dairy produce. Our menu consists of all these elements, combined to not only satisfy your tastebuds, but also to give you benefits of this healthy diet. Our proteins are humanely raised without antibiotics or hormones and fed a vegetarian diet with no animal by-products. We want everyone to know that we specialize in Mediterranean Charbroiled Kabobs marinated in healthy oils, lime juice and fresh herbs, which have become our locals’ favorites. We use only the finest quality ingredients from reputable sources. On top of being picky about our ingredients, we prepare all (except a few) dishes in our kitchens. In the restaurant industry, we’re what you would call a scratch kitchen; our cooks actually wash, chop, marinate and cook in our kitchens. There’s no defrosting or reheating pre-prepped meats or grabbing salad out of a bag. Customers often rave about the freshness of our food; you can taste it in every bite!

We took a couple to Panini Cafe in Santa Monica recently and found it to be one of the restaurants we will add to our go to places with guests. The food was excellent and the service was pretty good. The portions were really generous. I had the beef kabobs and it came with two skewers of meat and one skewer of vegetables all perfectly cooked. My wife had brie chicken panini which she liked very much. One of our guests had the moussaka which he reported was very much to his liking. The kabobs and the moussaka came with basmati rice and a salad. We also had the mixed middle eastern appetizer which was plenty for four. The bill with one person having a glass of wine was $93. Very reasonable for such a nice restaurant.

We love the Mediterranean menu and Panini never disappoints. I am always safe with several of the salad offerings and typically get the grilled salmon. Let the waitperson know that gluten free is necessary for you and the kitchen will take good care. Husband had the lamb kabob and auntie had a beef kabob dish. No one was talking because we were too busy smacking our lips!

Given that this is located one block away from Rodeo Drive its a real steal. The Chicken Kebob, with rice and choice of 3 salads was not only delicious but HUGE (and only c$13). Most people around me had to get the rest of their meals boxed up to go as they couldn't finish. Given that I had been cycling all day perhaps that's why I was able to finish mine. Well worth a visit

There are not a lot of restaurants on Rodeo Dr. We found Panini Cafe a few blocks away. It was a busy, bustling place and seems very popular. We had great service. We both ordered panini's which came with a side salad. The panini and salad were both enough for two meals. I order the Chicken Pesto and it was very good! We saw the kabobs that other people ordered and they were large servings also. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the area. $11.95 for the panini and salad. We were very pleased with this meal.
