Housed in an historic Southern Pacific train station with an active Amtrak stop outside, Brennans offers 8 HD big screen televisions throughout the restaurant to give avid sports fans the chance to see any game all season starting at 10AM PST weekends. Baseball, basketball, football, soccer and both pro and college. Darts games weekly, too. Locals favor the relaxed atmosphere and traditional comfort food made daily, including made-from-scratch soups, corned beef, roast beef and gravy, hot turkey sandwiches and much more. There is a fresh vegan soup daily as well. My favorite is the ginger carrot; very creamy and tasty! 24 beer taps include Guinness plus a wide selection of stouts, pales, wheats, ambers, browns, and other ales plus lagers, pilsners and the ubiquitous IPAs. The local craft brew options rotate frequently. Ask the bartender for the "Frequent Pinter" card - drink 24 pints of different brews and get your photo on the "pinter Board of Infamy". Tip: Brennans offers 3 hours of "free" parking validation for nearby 4th Street city parking lot with a $4 purchase. It's a good deal if you're driving as parking nearby can be hard to find.
