We stopped in for dinner while in Bakersfield. The atmosphere was more like a dance club than a restaurant. Our waiter was friendly but pushed a little to much trying to upsell us on beverages and our meals. That being said, I had the carne asada with chimichurri sauce and it was delicious. All in all we had a good meal.

We were in town to see Jack White at the Rabobank theater, so we decided to eat dinner and have a few drinks before the show. Worth the short Uber ride from our hotel. The street corn and skirt steak were tasty. Great service, ambiance, and food that is so close to the venue it’s worth a stop if you’re in town to see show.

Pros: Good calamari, good skirt steak, decent cocktails, decent prices

Cons: Table seemed too small for 4 people to dine comfortably especially with so much centerpiece decoration, the garlic shrimp were super underwhelming, fried cheesecake was just OK

Decent meal, good service, but dessert took forever.

Menu has everything from pasta, steaks to tacos and tortas. Also suggests it’s brazilian fusion...it’s just confusing.
Prices range between steakhouse prices to inexpensive...Its just confusing.
People were dressed from suits to shorts...It’s just confusing.

Service was good. Pork barbaroca was okay. Beans ok but rice was over cooked and mushy.
Jazzy style band started playing on the stage about 7.
Tables are well spaced and seems to be space for some dancing but I didn’t see any.

Went here with a group of friends (7 total) for a long overdue "kids-free" dinner and night out. The good: The food, actually (entrees anyway). Asparagus was serviceable but not memorable. We ordered some unique appetizers that were fun, but we wouldn't necessarily need to order again. One person had seafood and probably the best cooked scallops I've had in ages. I ordered the skirt steak with chimichuri as did several others. The skirt steak was the most tender cut of skirt steak I've ever had in my life and the seasoning was great. My wife ordered the filet which was huge as well as perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The bad: As you walk in the atmosphere is underwhelming as it's just a big, cold, generic room. Furniture not what one would expect from a place representing itself as a higher end eatery. When they dropped off chips and salsa at our table, we really knew we weren't in a high-end establishment. Service was very slow, cocktails took forever and were in some cases almost undrinkable (we are talking generic orders of martinis and margaritas here). They had a "signature cocktail" menu which provided a couple of positive reviews. Sides of mashed potatoes (supposedly had jalapeno in them) looked and tasted like the instant variety. The laughable: The wine "list" consists of two bottles, so that was a huge letdown. How can you market yourself as a higher end restaurant when you don't serve decent wine? Might try it again in a year or so if it's still around but not in a real hurry to go back. Band was cool and added a nice touch. We would have hung out at the bar all night except for the poor cocktails and general lack of service and atmosphere so we took the "party" elsewhere.
