Visited today with my partner for Sunday lunch. Menu was excellent and 2 courses for £15.95. The starter of prawns was delicious and both of our mains which were roast lamb and roast pork were lovely. The veg was beautifully cooked and presented. This is a lovely inn with a great range of drinks and will certainly be visiting again.

We had an excellent one night stay here. Well equipped and freshly decorated room, good pub style food, warm ambience. All areas are dog friendly so our well behaved lab was permitted to be with us the whole time which we greatly appreciated. Hope to return.

Just returned from a 2 night stay with friends cycling around the area.
Great quiet location next to the castle and retirement lodges. Gary, Carol and the staff are so welcoming and helpful. Gary put our bikes away securely in the boiler house which was great when your knees have seized up!
We ate in the Restaurant on Friday night, the food was lovely and a good menu with specials. Good selection of local beers and premium lagers.
Great Gin Bar and Gin Cocktails made by Carol.
I would definately stay again.
Thankyou Gary Carol and team

We found this Inn and Bistro after following the signage off the mail road. You have to go into an estate of lodges, but do not be put off as the Castle Inn is well worth it. Scampi and Chips, delicious, Steak Pie to die for and packed with meat. Would go again!
