I stayed with my wife during a visit to Mallorca for a family celebration. This is a delightful hotel in a very tranquil setting . It's one the highest standard without being pretentious or stuffy. We had difficulty finding it and I would suggest the signposts could be more obvious , so for those of you trying it, and I'd thoroughly recommend..DONT use the postcode in satnav. As this takes you to the town centre .The main road that bypasses Soller town from Palma to Port Soller has a Repsol brand garage on it ( just one) and the road to the hotel is directly opposite on the other side of the road ... The small signs are green.
Must come back ......

Located overlooking Soller town to the east in a delightful country setting yet just a 15 minute stroll from the centre, this is a first rate hotel. We were upgraded on arrival by the charismatic owner Daniel and shown to a well furnished and most agreeable garden room with its own terrace and fabulous views of the mountains surrounding this most attractive centre. What did come as a revelation was the superb cuisine offered by the hotel and the friendly staff who put themselves out to accommodate our every whim!
Well marked trails lead from the hotel to stunning mountain and coastal scenery and all the attractions offered by this surprising island are easily accessed by local and national roads.Wild life here ,particularly in the 'ideal' months of March/April/May and October, is abundant and I would encourage everybody at the very least to make a visit to the National Nature reserve at S'Albufera on the Islands East Coast where the bird variety is exceptional. On a short visit we spotted amongst many species Osprey, Marsh Harrier, Purple Gallimule and Red knobbed Coot! Save your fuel and travel at least once to Palma on the ancient vintage train direct from Soller.
The high German/British presence here ensures an excellent choice of eateries particularly in Port Soller a couple of miles down the road, a gem in its own right.
Probably too hot in high summer for us but at this time of year (March) the weather and setting is idyllic...not a bad accolade for well experienced and seasoned travellers such as ourselves we will be back!

Room Tip: Garden rooms though more expensive are worth it!

Stayed here for our anniversary. The place is about a 30 minute drive from the airport and Palma. It's tucked away in the mountains and very peaceful. We were a little anxious driving up the long, winding street to the hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised at how lovely the grounds were, even though the fruit trees were withering up a bit so late in the season (we did get a taste of a lemon, though). Our room was quiet and well-appointed with a fridge, large closest, a coffee maker, and a large bathroom. The staff is nice! They gave us suggestions for day trips and were so nice to us at dinner and breakfast. When we had to check out super early (6 AM) on our last day, they even made us sandwiches to take with us for the ride to the airport since we'd miss breakfast. And the sandwiches were really good! They say the hotel is within walking distance of the small downtown, but I wouldn't walk it. I think it's a bit far, especially at night. We drove into the town, which is about a 2 minute drive, and we parked in the public lot. You pay like 2-3 Euros to park, which is a steal, and then you just walk a couple blocks to the center of town, which is so lovely. Lots of restaurants and shopping. There is also a grocery store across from the public parking lot, which is convenient. In town, there is also a train that will take you to Palma, but we just drive there. You can also take a trolley from the town center to the beach, though we just drove there too. Be warned that the nearest beach, while only a 10-minute drive away, is very limited on parking. We waited in the lot for like 25 minutes before a spot became free. So maybe the trolley is the best option. Lots of restaurants at the beach and quite pretty. I also recommend taking a scenic drive through the mountains and stopping nearby small town for food and shopping. Actually, take a day and just drive to a couple small towns in the mountains. It is so gorgeous! Breathtaking! Hotel restaurant food is really good! We had prawns and steak, and I loved my meal. Plus, eating in the courtyard is very pretty! Breakfast was delicious. And parking is ample and easy once you figure out where the back gate opens. I really liked this place.

This is so pretty, an old country house with fantastic gardens on the outskirts of Soller, an easy stroll to the town... the service was brilliant, really friendly with extra flourishes, they are really good at what they do. The extra touches in our room, like chillout music, candles, books and magazines, really helped the overall experience. And the dining experience was truly magical, plants or flowers and candles on the tables, candles in holders everywhere, super food....we will be back asap!!

Can Coll is a wonderful german run since in the outskirts of Soller and overlooking the town and the whole landscape. Based in an old villa or country house the german hosts give the lucky visitors a very friendly and helpful reception - great service in the true sense of the word. The rooms are individually decorated and tasteful - silent luxury. The restaurant is more international than local but very good value and dining room inside - as well as outside is super.
The winelist is a chapter to it self with all Mallorcan wines on the list at favorable prices.
Trekking routes start just outside the door.
Can Coll is a place to come back to - no doubt.
