I only write a review if seriously compelled. This place demands one, I honestly cannot speak highly enough about it.

The location - from the scenery to the space itself - is simply sublime. As regards the former: gorgeous mountain ranges, a view of the setting sun over the ocean, hiking trails and hilltop homes. And all of this can be seen from the wonderful and spacious dinner terrace. With respect to the latter: incredible attention to detail (wonderful pieces of art and furniture), a range of private and intimate places and nooks, a quaint little pool overlooking the sea, and a really excellent restaurant (we chose to eat there both nights rather than go into town) and very varied continental breakfast.

Lastly, the staff could not be more convivial; genuinely warm and helpful and unobtrusive. The manager, Carol, is incredibly knowledgeable about surrounding things to do and an absolute ray of sunshine with an infectious smile who goes out of her way to tender to your needs.

The price for all of this is absurdly reasonable - indeed cheap for what you get. Two nights, breakfasts, dinners, and about dozen drinks came up to roughly 500 euros.

We are travelling through Mallorca for our honeymoon and every place since pales in comparison. Trust me.

Son Bleda is a beautiful former Monastery in an absolutely gorgeous setting, with an outstanding view of the valley below and mountains. They offer the best home baked cakes and deserts, but the other food offerings are quite dull. Sadly the menu has no local cuisine to offer, perhaps because the owners are German. Sadly at breakfast they offered processed orange juice which seems a crime in a country filled with oranges trees growing all about (even on the Son Bleda property).

The room I stayed in was odd as it had no windows that could open, so I had to sleep with the glass door open for fresh air. Again the view is astounding, but the noise from the road reminds you that you are not in a secluded paradise.

There are wonderful trails that you can wander off in in several directions to get out into nature. The pool was quite lovely, but unheated so I was unable to enjoy it in early May.

I went on several day walks and adventures to near by villages.

The grounds are lovely as was the staff.

The room has no window to open because AC, but we got many other rooms with windows.
Hope to see you again! Best wishes from beautifull Mallorca island Dieter

Had a weeks holiday at the Son Bleda, and was not disappointed. The building is absolutely lovely and the surrounding gardens, pool, and restaurant area are totally relaxing. The views are stunning, and there is very little to fault. If you are looking for somewhere where you can just unwhind with a couple of books and get a nice tan, this is the place to come. Perfect for walkers, cyclists or anyone just wanting a bit of peace. Staff and owners are all friendly, and Carol will provide you with any local info you might need. The owners have thought of practically everything to make your stay a good one. Slight niggles for me were the bed - too hard for my liking, and lots of little ants. Although this is the countryside, and outside the control of the hotel. You will also need a car as it's quite a walk to Soller or Deia. Nevertheless, you won't be disappointed with your stay here.

Room Tip: Rooms are very spacious suites. No problems. Hire a car.

My BF surprised me by booking a 4 night break here for my birthday. On arrival I was struck by how beautiful the main building looked set into the hillside on the drive up from Soller. On arrival the host was warm, friendly and helpful as she showed us to our room - a one bed villa type accommodation called Bunyola. We had originally booked a one bedroom in the main house (which is stunning) however they had upgraded us to this room which was newly furnished with a stunning yet compact bathroom and beautiful crafted wood furniture. The room also featured an outside patio with two loungers and views across the hillside. Beach towels are included and there is a fully equipped mini bar with a little room for your own provisions (water, after sun, etc.). Wifi was good strength.
The main house is a maze of beautiful architecture, history and furnishings. The owner has impeccable taste and standards which we really did appreciate! The grounds were incredibly well kept and every time we walked to the main house for breakfast we were greeted to a waft of fresh jasmine and lavender from the walkway. The swimming pool was equally as dazzling - clean and modern with a stunning view of the ocean!
Breakfast was AMAZING - cold meats, cheese, fresh local breads, pumpernickel, cereal, yoghurt and eggs freshly prepared! We also had lunch at the restaurant which was delicious: salad of thinly sliced beetroot with a tuna mousse which was air light and divine.
The restaurant is also open in the evenings and features a well equipped bar - enjoy this all with another stunning backdrop of the mountains.
It also happened to be my BF's birthday while we stayed and without us saying a word, they surprised him with the cutest and delicious cake (homemade).
The hotel is about 5minute drive from Port de Soller which has a small beach and lots of touristy bars and restaurants. Head the other way out of the hotel and Daia is also 5mins away and features some great restaurants (Michelin starred).
The hotel also offers off street parking.
I would not hesitate to stay here again: it was luxurious yet subtle and very authentic for the local area. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!!!
