We stayed here for 1 night on 5th November and ate in the Alamo Restaurant. Good was absolutely beautiful, we had the steak pizza and something from the kids menu.
The restaurant staff went above and beyond and it was a breath of fresh air not to have to ask twice for things or remind them of anything as has been the case in recent dining experiences since the reopening of sit down restaurants.

The breakfast in the moorings the next morning was absolutely lovely. We had Irish breakfasts and the kids had the Belgian waffles however the only fault with these were that they were too sweet. We found lumps of sugar in the waffles that were like sugar lumps so perhaps the batter hadn’t been mixed properly but that was the only fault… the staff were very helpful and it was a lovely dining experience.

We then visited the leisure club the next morning and the poor was very clean with extra towel available. Our kids loved the unlimited time they had and had great fun in the pool.

Our room was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The hotel was very busy when we stayed but we couldn’t fault the place and Lorraine on reception was so helpful offering us a room upgrade and ice cream vouchers for the kids which we completely forgot about.

They had actually had a hot water issue the day before we stayed but it had been rectified by the time we checked in so I’m happy to report we’d definitely come back to stay and highly recommend it to friends and family.

I came to stay for our annual visit for our anniversary and kids birthday we alway book superior family room never had a problem beautiful spacious room so arrived at hotel all excited check in was great all going well till we got to the room well let me tell you the room was not a superior that we always got it was a run down room with a pull out bed oh sorry the manger stated a leather sofa pull out bed the room was not spacious and there was 5 of us there it was like a hostel room and dont get me started on the bathroom and it wasn't cheap nearing €700 for 2 nights I told them we be arriving for our yearly visit to celebrate we booked last July plenty of superior room to book now when u book superior room u think u be getting 1 of the rooms advertised wrong went to reception to ask why are we in a cramped room the manger came out very bad attitude said read fine print I stated coming last few years always got the superior as that is room we book and pay for so I taught she did not care she has an attitude I told her she replied I don't care if that's what you think I said I'm not staying I wnat my money back and I left next day manager rang yes the one who will reply here now and say no no we have a different version well save yourself the bother u are a rude man let me tell you and he had to cheek to say we complained about the room before I stated no I complained over your bar staff who passed a comment when I went to bar she better f off now if she looking for a drink and a girl working came down and said sorry gave me a drink on the house and u mr manger gave me and my family a 2 night stay but u didn't want to talk about that on the phone we never had a bad word to say about this hotel im not here to tell people not to go food is amazing and superior family rooms are beautiful im just sharing our experience having to drive 3 hrs back home with kids upset not acceptable when u paying so much money supported ye thorugh lock down twice in 1 year ye need to put pictures up of the other superior rooms ye give cause my god nothing superior about them
