We had 2 liked self catering apartments within this small complex just behind the main road running along the beach. The apartments were small, well furnished and very good value, with air con available at modest extra cost. The swimming pool helped make the holiday and the bar and bar staff provided welcome refreshments! One or two minor issues with the shower promptly rectified.

Plakias is well positioned to allow trips to other beaches, or inland for gorge trips and some Minoan sites well worth the effort. Plenty of restaurants offering a lot of choice, and some great restaurants in the village up the hill behind.

Due to walking difficulties,we had requested a ground floor room.Sure enough it was ready and waiting. My husband however was not thrilled with it and we were moved as soon as was possible to a bigger, brighter, better room No. 39. The rooms were kept spotless, Costas is always around to sort any problems with a smile, Chrysoula is about every morning seeing to breakfast (Although we never partook, it did look inviting,) The star of the show is Angelo, the funny, hardworking barman.Les, our rep also deserves a big shout, an absolute asset to his employers and a top bloke.

Room Tip: Rooms 39 and 40 have larger terraces.

We stayed at this facility for two weeks August 18 / 1st September 2015 in a studio room which was adequate for our needs, although we did have an uninvited guest on our first two nights a black cat who had worked out how to open the fly screens big shock in the middle of the night!!!
Room was clean and comfortable with excellent beds, shower and toilet facilities were good with regular housekeeping and janitorial services. Cramped cooking unit not fit for purpose and badly located adjacent to the main door entrance and opposite the toilet, but then again all we needed was a kettle as we ate out in the wonderful diners throughout the resort. Balcony view looked out onto the junk yard opposite and the parked garbage trucks not very pleasant, get yourself a miners helmet or lantern to walk the back entry from the main road at night not for the faint hearted.
AC unit in the room just did not want to work and we gave up on it after repeated requests to get it sorted. Room with a view 22!!

Room Tip: Avoid room 22 on the ground floor.

Very clean rooms with very attentive staff. The rooms are above average for the price you pay and kept very clean with frequent changing of bedding. The staff are very helpful in every manner and the location is perfect. In short, this is one of the places to stay in Plakias.

Room Tip: room 38 has a balcony the size of Brazil

Just back from a wonderful relaxing 2 weeks at Costas Chrysoula. Very clean basic rooms but still have to say above the average of the usual accomodation in Greece. Perfectly located right in the centre of Plakias with beaches and tavernas a 2 minute walk away. Resort transfer we were told was 2-21/2 hours we were lucky to have a taxi waiting ( a mercedes) which brought us to the resort in 11/2 hours .Many mature couples and many young couples with young children in this resort certainly no lager louts which meant we had a very quiet, lovely, civilised holiday.

Breakfasts excellent in CC and very reasonable. Angelo the barman lovely guy and boy does he know his music. Les our rep (what can I say) he went over and above for all his clients. A wonderful asset to Olympic Holidays. Attended quiz nights on the 2 Saturdays we were there and had good fun. The beaches in Plakias are not great very rocky and stoney. I would certainly recommend Damnoni beach it is really beautiful, we would go in a taxi which cost us €6 each way and was well worth it to just be able to walk into the sea without meeting any rocks en-route. Also go to Prevelli beach which can be reached by boat from Plakias or bus. If you go by bus be prepared to walk down 495 steps on the side of the cliff before you hit the beach. We did this on one of the days and my legs were killing me for two days. A walk not for the faint hearted.

All in all I would certainly recommend this place and Costas and Chrysoula Thank you for a wonderful holiday and hope to see you again pretty soon. Yvonne and Colm.
