The Lighthouse is a gem. Ju had a lovely beetroot feta and apple salad. I went for the fish and chips, which was superb. Fresh flaky Jake with a lovely Jamie Oliver style batter and paprika chips. Big, tasty and inexpensive. Only improvement would have been a roll and butter. The shabby chic decor is well executed and there's a very pleasant vibe as you watch the comings and goings at the naval base opposite. Pity there's no sea view,

Happy to hear that your first eating experience in SA at The Lighthouse Cafe was great, can't beat that fresh, fresh Yellowtail Fish that we buy fresh off the boat at the Harbour!

A good place to stop for lunch. Chef's salad highly recommended. Nice decor and friendly staff. Cakes looked very tempting.

Luckily we had reserved a table, because the Lighthouse Cafe was full on a Saturday evening. A very quaint place, great service and excellent food. My daughters particularly recommend the homemade cinammon brownies. Lovely atmosphere.

I live in England for 4 month and I have eaten quite a few Fish & Chip dishes, but never as good as at the Lighthouse Cafe in Simon's town. The batter was so tasty and the fish so moist, my mouth still waters just thinking about it.
We went back and made a detour on our trip to the Cap, so we just could eat there again. I had the Bouillabaisse and it also was superb. If you drive through Simon's Town stop at the Lighthouse Cafe for your meal. We m

What a wonderful review! Thank you so much, high praise indeed for our Jamie's Fish 'n Chips, our most popular dish and of course the Bouillabaisse is next level of goodness, great that you had both!
