Excellent small Holiday home. Fully equipped with all that you would need. Warm and very comfortable. Thanks to landlords mother and father for kind welcome.

“What a gem of a croft in a gem of a location”
Reviewed 7 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Family House is a croft house on the Island of South Lewis. In an idyllic location, peaceful, quiet and with nothing but the sound of the birds to break the tranquility.
The croft is supremely comfortable and very well furnished and provided. We only booked a short break but we would have been comfortable for months - in fact one previous occupant had spent the whole summer there very happily.
We walked across the fields to the beach and the small offshore island, went to a Ceilidh in Lochboisdale, explored the coast and the machair trail, visited the wonderful and evocative island of Eriskay and ended our four days refreshed and completely chilled out. A supermarket is a convenient three miles away, there is a local museum of Hebridean life and there are several other local craft and cottage industries and interests.
And Morag could not have been more hospitable and helpful. Thank you so much.

“Lovely cottage , great for birdwatching”
Reviewed 9 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Family house was warm, clean, well equipped and bedrooms had brilliant Velux black out blinds.
Watched short eared owls flying by as I washed up the dishes. Heard lots of Corncrakes.

A comfortable, well equipped house. Bedrooms and lounge are compact, and kitchen is a good size. The house is a 20 minute level walk to the beach and has long views to the hills and over the machair.

“Lovely Relaxing Home”

We stayed in the house for a week and enjoyed visiting the island travelling all over knowing we had a clean and fresh house to come back to each evening ,
relaxing in the garden with the views of the sea on one side and hills on the other .
a lovely stroll to the beach from the house took no time at all with its pure white sands.
