We found this little gem of a pub on a visit to Aldeburgh and Thorpeness where all the pubs were very busy. Upon arrival we were made welcome by the excellent staff. We chose to sit inside as it was very windy. Homely atmosphere and discreet background music. We enjoyed a drink of draught Adnams Ghostship and a glass of excellent New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. We both chose the 6oz burger with smoked bacon and cheese, which was freshly cooked and delicious. The young staff were attentive and checked with us that our meals were to our liking. My wife and I also enjoyed browsing some of the books on display. All in all a very good experience in a very well run pub/restaurant. Well done to the management and staff!
