This is one of the most beautiful places on planet earth. Every single aspect of the resort is perfect or near perfect. The amenities are wonderful, the small size makes for great privacy, the food and restaurants (2) was wonderful.

We were very warmly greeted by a staff named Mango when we arrived at the resort. He gave us a guided tour of the resort before settled to our room. We felt we were in a paradise as soon as the tour began. It was a boutique resort beautifully blended into the natural environment between the beach and the hill. Every guest room has its own beautiful garden and the beach was within a stone throwing distance. We spent most of our 5-day stay on the beautiful fine sand beach. The seawater was of body temperature, very pleasant and comfortable. The Thai restaurant on the beach serves most delicious authentic Thai food. We felt so relax all the time. The service was excellent and warm. We enjoyed our stay there.

Room Tip: A garden view room is very nice.

From the minute you arrive you know why you chose this resort for your stay in Krabi. Everything about this place is amazing. They dont let tour groups on the beach so you can be sure that you are booking one of the best locations to relax in peace. The rooms are large and clean the landscape, pool and beach were the best we had during our two week visit to Thailand. This place is LOVELY!!

My boyfriend and I stayed there fro three days on our trip around Krabi. It’s a secluded gem on the Krabi coast of Thailand - it is a true oasis of peace. It has a very natural concept, they have tried to retain the original natural elements as much as possible which gives it a nice vibe. The resort offers a serene garden setting with a beautiful private beach and a magnificent view of Hong Islands. To the rear of the hotel rises the dramatic Hang Nak Mountain. Tubkaak is therefore a quiet retreat away from the noise of the busier beaches in the Krabi area and is ideal for those who want experience a beach break with stunning views and almost no tourists.

In my opinion this isn’t a place for families or kids since there are no interconnecting rooms. There is a small kids' pool, but no kids club, so ideally Tubkaak is better suited for older children who can create their own sense of fun.

ROOM

We stayed in Premiere Pool Villa surrounded by flourishing gardens and mature shady trees, which offered us ultimate privacy for our romantic getaway.

My favourite thing was to relax in our private pool or in our outdoor sunken stone bathtub, which was filled with rose petals when we first got there. I loved it so much I took my bikini and went to enjoy it.

FOOD

The Tubkaak offers two restaurants located on the beachfront, The Arundina and Di Mare. Every morning we went to The Arundina for a fresh breakfast buffet. To our surprise they offered everyday different dishes. For dinner we chose to go to Di Mare - an Italian restaurant along the beachfront with ambient music and attentive staff, excellent service and selection.

GROUNDS

The grounds are filled with trees and bushes. I felt like I'm in some fairy tale. The small size makes it great use of space with curved walkways, where we got lost a few times, and a range of facilities including a spa, library, gym and above mentioned beachfront restaurants. The hotel has a large stretch of beach front and comfortable bean-bags, hammocks and hanging chairs for lazing and watching the days pass by.

The spa is located within the gardens and it looks stunning. Each building looks like a big wooden bee hive. There is also a small gym with dumbbells and various cardio machines, elliptical trainers, treadmill, yoga mats, fit ball, etc. If this is not enough I recommend you to enjoy a morning run on the beach.

Pool - one of the highlights of Tubkaak for sure. A fabulous free-form resort pool with an island garden center with lots of sunbeds for sun worshipers! Great location for stunning photos.

WHAT TO DO THERE

The hotel offers a variety of excursions in the region, from day boat trips and scuba diving to mountain bike riding. Or you can just get a complimentary kayak and enjoy the paddle among the islands. For those wanting to learn a little Thai cookery, they offer lessons on site. Tubkaak also provides complimentary yoga classes.

I hope we will visit this hidden gem soon again.

Room Tip: Premiere pool villas have private pool where no one can disturb you.

This is a place to get away from it all. It is total bliss. Located in a sustainable surrounding. My partner and I were totally satisfied with our room (a room which was on the second floor - a must have if you can spend a few dollars extra).

The staff were great from the groundskeepers through to management. They were all happy and gave you a smile and greeting every time you passed by. The management should be very happy with their staff there. Personally I don't like to favor one member of staff and especially in this case, they were all great. Yes some didn't have the best English but who cares, honestly we are in Thailand. Most could speak English and some just smiled and genuinely loved their jobs at this great resort.

The restaurants there were good, the Italian restaurant was quite pricey but the food was great.

We took the shuttle into Ao Nang a few times which was great to get a chance to get some live music from some great Bands they have in town. The shopping is great. My partner managed to get a couple of suits from " The Boss" were nothing short of amazing. And then we drifted back into a calm once back into the resort.

Overall an amazing experience and if you get the chance do the Tiger temple. Wow, challenging but the views at the end are amazing.

Hopefully will be coming back next year for the big 50.... :-)

Room Tip: Get a room on the second floor with balcony - fabulous.
