My wife and I stayed here three nights while on a tour of Bagan and the surrounding area. I is just outside of Old Bagan on beautiful grounds. Our room was very comfortable with a king size bed and small patio. It had all the amenites, cable TV, in room safe, refrigerator and very nice bathroom with separate shower with rain head, bath tub with good shower. Lots of hot water, but you had to run the water in the tub for a few minutes to start it flowing. They also had very good free wifi.

Nice restraurant with a great breakfast buffet. They also had good room service menu if you didn't feel like going out. We can recommend this as a great place to stay while in Bagan for the sights.

We stayed here for three nights in the very high season shortly after new years eve. Had booked a premier room with river view through booking.com
Hotel is located in Old Bagan, like most of the upscale resorts here in Bagan, it's very close to the pagodas like Ananda and easy access to all major attractions of Bagan.
We stayed at room 720 as mentioned above, rooms in this category all have a scenic riverview with it's own balcony and the rooms are very spacious, the bathrooms have a really big bathtub.
If you dont mind the hustle and bustle of the nearby jetty, these rooms are perfect. The view is breathtaking, especially at sunset (if you're not watching it from any of the "sunset-pagodas").
Hotel rents out bikes and e-bikes, takes care about further travel arrangements like bus tickets or day trips to Mt Popa for instance, thats what we did.
The pool area was mostly empty and quiet, though it was high-season, but everybody seemed to be in the temple-area. The massages at the spa are not cheap, but worth the money.
The restaurant serves a good breakfast, you get cheese, omeletts, even sushi or glass noodle soup if you are into that in the morning. A la carte restaurant food is a good option in the evenings if you are not in the mood for driving to the restaurant strip in Old Bagan or Nyaung U. We hat several dishes like fishcurry, seafood salad or the prawns and all were excellent and tasty. They also serve Myanmar wine from the Inle lake region.
When we complained about some noise from the nearby jetty by night, we got immediately a more quiet room. Service couldn't be better, the staff is really nice and considerate. Would definitely stay here again!

Spent two nights at the Aye Yar River View Resort in a clean, comfortable room. The hotel was mostly empty, so had the feeling of being quiet and secluded.

The hot water didn't seem to keep up in the early evening when people were returning from day tours, even with only a few guests.

Breakfast wasn't ready on time at 6am, so we didn't have much opportunity to eat before our pick up at 6:30am on the final day.

We ate dinner one night at the restaurant, where the service, cocktails and food were good.

Reasonable wi-fi for Myanmar.

This has a river view, a pool, beautiful well-manicured gardens (with a small stupa on the grounds), artistically appointed rooms, and a huge breakfast buffet. All this does not come at a bargain rate, but for travelers who want to pamper themselves, this is a good place. They can also arrange trips by horse cart and even by private car (I was sick when I arrived, so was not with my group; they arranged a car that took me everywhere i wanted for several hours, for $25). Internet mostly OK.

Room tip: there are no bad rooms, but those smaller rooms down toward the river are exquisite, with small porches, natural stone walls, large bathrooms, and views of the gardens.

Great rooms, lovely service.
Good spa ( excellent treatment ) and pool- almost lost one star for very good, but not amazing breakfast.
Excellent wifi-
Plenty of restaurants within 20 min walk or 3 minute cab ride.
Woke up early and walked two minutes away for amazing view of numerous temples with hot air balloons all around.
River view room with balcony allows you to watch boats full of tourists and freight come and go directly beneath you, and amazing sunsets over the river.
( can be noisy at times, but you can always close the balcony doors)
