We turned up to this restaurant on a Monday for a late-ish (2pm) lunch. Unfortunately, the staff and chef failed to turn up.
We asked for an outside table - and were helpfully directed to one when it became free - but from then on we were ignored for the remainder of the meal, and when asking for assistance we were met by either an inconvenienced grimace or a vague (and unexecuted) response, from a mix of different staff members.
The menu looked pretty nice - I ordered the crayfish. This came out cold. As did everybody's fries. Perhaps they had mixed up the temperatures with the Sauvignon Blanc we ordered - warm.
I also ordered oysters - these did not arrive. They were not on the bill, but when pointed out to the manager (or excuse for one), he said "ok", nothing else.
The meals - although not overly expensive (not much is in SA), were (given the quality we experienced) overpriced I felt.
All I can say is that we were lucky the view of the surfers was interesting, otherwise this would have been a totally unenjoyable experience.

A very busy place with good food. Service is very fast and local favorites are the seafood. Very nice to go to and have a bite (if you do not mind a busy restaurant).

This restaurant was jam packed on a Monday night so it's clearly a local favourite. Really good seafood.Only criticism is the waitresses are obviously very busy which means they don't always follow up on requests/do what they say they will!

Really lovely setting, right by the sea. The milkshakes however are really not good, service was only ok and the sushi was not the freshest.

We often like seafood restaurants. When we where asking around in the garden route, every suggested The King Fisher restaurant and we decided to try it out. To our surprise we had the best calamari ever! I would also recommend their prawns. The restaurant also has a magnificent view of the beach, great in summer!
