This is an important historic building from the colonial period in Ghana. It is generally well presented though a little tired looking in places. With the entrance fee you get a guided tour. This is very good. Much of it relates to the history of the Ghana miltary and colonial history. As a British visitor who thought he knew history well, I learned a lot from this. There are a lot of old weapons, including tanks and even planes and not everyone would enjoy this. The setting is very central, and there is a tourist craft market outside. Well worth a visit.

I spent a few hours walking through the fort which holds a good collection of military arms accoutrements and memorabilia. Was disappointed but the quality of the tour guide. She was asking for money and wasn't too excited about what she was doing. I will like to visit again soon

This is definitely worth a visit if you are in Kumasi - you get taken around with a guide and as a Brit I found it very interesting and was also very ashamed at how we treated the Ghanaian soldiers who fought for us. A good assortment of photos and memorabilia. Wasn't overpriced either - price includes the guide.

Great museum that shows how the Britisch coloniser act like animals towards the local people. The local soldiers got permission to wear shoes in 1937 ... before they where barefoot ... Big suprise the locals fought against the Japanees in WW II.

Interesting to see the machete's used by in the war in Rwanda, some local weapons and flags from the RWAFF. The tour was a little too long and boring sometimes. I would have liked to see more antique weapons from the period before the English came to Ghana.
