Considering the situation of the country, this teleferico system is maintained well and clean. Going up to Avila on weekdays was a breeze, no line. on the way back, it was rainy and i could feel the car swayed by the wind, but nothing unsafe.

You have to go to Avila when no clouds so you have nice view on all Caracas... you have also ice skating place, restaurant, coffeshop and souvenir vendors.. anyhow i strongly suggest visit of Avila as this mountain makes also Caracas so special... unfirtunely I was on Avila on fogy, rainy day.. so second trip i choose suny day and it was big diference!

The best way to see Caracas from the top of a mountain. When arrive at the top you can take a walk to the small town of Galipan. Enjoy typical foods at a very reasonable price. There is also a great offer of fine restaurants on the area that works only under reservation and transportation is arranged by them. Do not miss one of these as the experience is unique!

Short trip to the top of the Avila mountain. You can see a really nice view of the city of Caracas. When you get to the top, they're shops with local snacks, hot cocoa etc and sometimes, fun activities for kids and adults are hosted there. Don't forget to take jackets when visiting because it's quite chilly!
