For the money they charge they should offer better service and better food... The lobster picture should be taken off. First, price offered online is not acurate.. Once they have your info and contact you they change it to watever they want to ask for.. I got like 3 different ones..Once I got there they try to charge me for more.. The Breakfast plain and simple, no menu.. Just eggs your style and arepas.. Orange juice and that is it. For Lunch just a small salad, SANDWICH and crakers... water and soda.. one or two beers..(for the beach) Dinner so basic and again no variety. They take FOREVER cooking your meals.... Once you order it could take like 40 minutes to get your food... a Disaster! I don;t like papaya but they have no other options... The place is clean but like I said. OVERPRICED. No warm water, Shower heads need improvement. Wifi NOT GOOD AT ALL. NO TV... With all the beautiful surroundings these people should do better and offer better service.. Coming back to Los Roques YES. to Acuarela NOT AT ALL.

Stayed over a week for fishing/diving holiday. Los Roques is a wonderful place and great destination for these activities.
Acuarela is a charming inn - basic in some respects (e.g. water warm in the afternoon, otherwise cold), but given the logistic and economic issues this is a great place for what and where it is.
The accommodation is clean, simple and comfortable. Electricity and wifi worked well. Rooms have fans, and aircon (which we didn't use). The staff can arrange a massage on the roof terrace.
The food is great - Italian style, based on fish and pasta in the evenings, with fresh juice, coffee and eggs in the morning.
If you want menu choice, TV and a pool go somewhere else!

A warm welcome awaits at this charming, arty and rustic posada. The rooms are basic but comfortable and all have air conditioning. The food is really good - breakfast consists of the usual eggs-anyway and bacon but with the addition of huge platters of fresh tropical fruit, avocados and fresh juices. Out of necessity the dinners consist mainly of fish but who's complaining when it's straight out of the sea a five minute walk away. The Ceviche is the best I have ever eaten. The bar has pretty much everything most people would wish for and there is a lovely open air patio and a roof terrace where you can sit and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail.
Considering the challenges of running this hotel on a small island which requires everything to be shipped in the standard is nothing short of miraculous.

Everything was horrible!! I work in the hospitality industry and I have graduated with a hotel management degree and this is a bad example of anything hospitality related. From the comfort of the beds, to the taste of the food, to the kindness of the people working there. I paid $1500 for 4 nights and when we got there, the place was literally worst than a hostel and there wasn't a tv in the room, and the wifi neveeer worked, they give you the same meal every single day, they give you pasta and some type of fish, and if you don't like it, too bad, because that's all they cook for the day. There are so many mosquitos in the room and everywhere because they have too many plants even inside the room so obviously that attracts a lot of mosquitos. They are not flexible at all. The receptionist is the person in charge of the whole place because her mother is the owner, and this girl is literally like 20 years old and has no idea of anything that's going on and if you complain she finds an excuse for everything you say. Totally not worth it. If you want to have a good time don't go there.

Los Roques is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It is still, one safe place in Venezuela, where you can walk at midnight without any concern... The problems are the Government services, like water and electricity.

Posada Acuarela and Natura Viva are two great places run by an Italian Team. They have been able to secure water, power, good food, nice trips around the islands, beautiful and clean rooms and good service.

Room Tip: Program a trip through Acuarela or Natura Viva and ask them to organize all your trip.
