This ice cream place is a must visit when you are in town, but it doesn't live up to its name anymore. I tried the Caraota (black bean) and jojoto (corn) flavor. It is very cool to try unusual flavor that the other ice cream shop doesn't sell. However, due to the situation in the country, with ingredients not available at all time, this store doesn't have all the flavors available at all time.

This ice cream parlor doesn't have their world record for no reason, you can ask for ANY flavor they show in their massive menu which covers most of the upper half of the walls and you will have it, they also accept opinions, suggestions and recommendations to keep expanding their variety of flavors, pay a visit to this place and surprise yourself with the most extravagant ice cream flavor you can think of.

This ice cream shop has lots of strange flavors (ham and cheese, black beans, chicharron, etc.). However, the ice cream itself is not high quality and not very rich. It seems to be made with a mix of water and cream and is often icy.

This is definitely a place to go for the experience, rather than the quality of the ice cream. There were about 50-60 flavors available when I was there, however the lack of supplies in Venezuela seems to have affected the quality of the product. There were mostly fruity flavors available, and the ice cream itself wasn't very creamy. Still, a fun place to visit for the experience! I went around 4:00 PM on a Saturday, and the line wasn't too long at all (especially by Venezuelan standards!)

This long established, famous ice cream place was open during Carnaval 2015 which was a pleasant surprise to us as we travelled to Merida for a short mini vacation from the coast. First time visitors.... Lined up and got excited with the large crowd of over 50 people. They had lots of flavors to select from BUT with the shortages in Venezuela it seems to have affected the quality of their product. Go for the atmosphere not the actual flavor and quality of the ice cream I think is a fair thing to say at this point.
