This is about the fifth time we have tried to eat at the Dragon in the last year. Now we just give up. And won't be returning. It's a glorious summer and inside the dragon is dark so with another couple and their children we asked could we eat outside, only to be told, they stop serving in the garden at 4pm, when we specifically asked when we booked are you serving outside...but we could have food on the patio... where there is no sun and the children can't run around. Which is a pity, as the Dragon has a beautiful large garden area.
We found some seating on the patio but for the hour and a half we were there, we had to queue 20 minutes at the bar each time, as there was only 1 person serving... and may it be said, he couldn't have worked faster if he tried!
I really don't understand the issue with walking up 6 steps so customers can enjoy food and the grounds in the sun. Why would people with young children want to be inside in this hot weather after 4pm?
The service has been poor each time we visit and so we will just stick to going to The Bear.
