Having read the great reviews for the Smithy we decided to stop for coffee and cake. To be honest, we failed to see what everyone is raving about - the coffee was bitter, the scones dry and the tea very weak. Yes, the setting is lovely and it's certainly quaint but for the prices charged one would expect a better quality product.

We had a lovely dinner cooked by Carol in her amazing kitchen.
We felt so welcome straightaway.
Great breakfast too the following morning.

We booked in advance and Carol had made us a lovely chili followed by rhubarb crumble and custard - just what we needed after a 47 mile bike ride.

We stopped at this tearoom on a beautiful day last week on Mull. As we approached the tearoom a previous guest said " you have got to try it. It is a unique experience" He was not wrong. We entered and one of the two women told us just go to the kitchen! We thought that must be the name of the seated area but we were wrong. The kitchen was where they worked and had their various home baked treAts on display. The homemade scones were really good and the coffee was also. Their is not a lot of room to sit in More than 8 and it's probably standing room only. However the views from the outside seating is wonderful given any type of good weather. Would certainly be back and fully recommend.

Happened across this hidden gem while driving around the bottom end of mull ,glad
we stopped and ventured inside the cottage . we had a selection of homemade scones between us ( plum scone is the best ) and tea and coffee then sat on sunloungers outside for the next half hour enjoying the view and sunshine while dining on homemade delights
Only downside went backed on Friday not knowing they were closed Friday and Saturday ended up very disappointed
